Computing was once one of those things only people living in the now famous Silicon Valley could talk about in detail.  But when the computing portion of the information technology age began to take off we saw universities begin offering degrees in computer science.  These days it behooves every layperson who has a computer to at least know a little bit of about the behind the scenes world of computing. 

While you don’t have to become a web designer or create your own software, what you need to do is understand the basics of computer and system software.  The people who visit Cass have the opportunity to share what they know while at the same time absorbing new information.  The experts can share information with those who are not, and everyone can help move the computing industry forward. 

At Cass you can learn the difference between computer software and system software.  The reason it makes sense to become more refined in your education about computer and computer software is because we live in an age where the use of computers in only going to increase.
